Who is Long Boy Studio?

Long Boy Studio is a creative shop led by Summer Lambert, founder of Rare Bird Lab and co-founder of Sequent Growth. Previously, I launched DIY GRRL, a Chicago-based grassroots project (2022-2024) that connected local businesses with women looking to learn new skills. You can read more about that here.

I live in Forest Park, Illinois - by way of Chicago, Oakland, San Francisco, Portland, Boston, and Richmond - and while I appreciate the quiet of the “village of cemeteries,” what really stands out in this small town is the strong sense of community, entrepreneurship, and creativity that thrives here.

With over a decade of experience in marketing - working with software companies like IBM, agencies like R/GA, and with brands like Nature’s Recipe, Natural Balance, Pupperoni, Panda Express, BOTA Box, and Stanley Thermos - I wanted to dedicate part of my time to supporting the small businesses around me. It’s a way to give back while continuing to expand my expertise.
